Overview

Connect your YouTube channel to Gapex to automatically sync videos, manage comments with AI, and grow your audience engagement.

How to Connect

Step 1: Add Account from Sidebar

In the Gapex dashboard, locate the Accounts section on the left-hand sidebar. Click the + Add account button.

Step 2: Select YouTube

A menu will appear listing the supported social platforms. Select YouTube from the list.

Step 3: Authorize via Google

A popup window will appear. Click the Continue with Google button to open the secure Google authorization page.

1. Choose your account: Select the Gmail/Google account that owns your YouTube channel.
2. Confirm Permissions: Review the access request and click Allow.

Step 4: Select Your Channel

If your Google account manages multiple channels or Brand Accounts, select the specific channel you wish to connect and click Finish Connection.

What Happens Next

Once connected, Gapex automatically begins the following processes:

1. Video Syncing - We fetch your public and private videos to prepare for comment management.
2. Comment Monitoring - The system checks for new comments every 10 minutes.
3. AI Suggestion Engine - Gapex starts generating high-quality response suggestions based on your video context.

Settings

Configure your channel behavior in the Account Settings:

Auto-Reply Settings

• Enable auto-reply: Automatically post AI responses that meet your confidence score.
• Review before posting: Hold replies for manual approval before they go live.

Comment Filters

• Privacy Filter: Sync comments from Public, Private, or both.
• Unlisted Filter: By default, Unlisted videos are hidden to keep your dashboard clean.

Troubleshooting

“Invalid or Expired Token”

Problem: Your session has timed out or permissions were revoked. Solution: Click the “Disconnect” icon in your account settings and follow the connection process again to refresh the token.

“No YouTube Channel Found”

Problem: The selected Google account doesn’t have an active channel. Solution: Go to YouTube, ensure a channel is created for that account, then return to Gapex.

Privacy & Security

• No Passwords: We use official Google OAuth. We never see your password.
• Limited Access: Gapex only accesses YouTube data. We cannot read your Emails or Drive files.
• Revocable: You can remove Gapex’s access at any time via your Google Security Dashboard.

FAQ

Q: Can I connect multiple YouTube channels? A: Yes! Simply repeat the “Add Account” process for each channel.

Q: Does Gapex support Unlisted videos? A: To keep your workspace focused, we filter out Unlisted videos by default. Public and Private videos are supported.
